Truth be told? Maybe. I have no idea who the heck you are! That’s not really what this entry is about. This is an entry of me ranting about how people really ought to wear clothes that fit them. I shall list the offenders:
1. Muffin Top- I would assume this is the most obvious of all of the fashion-fitting offenders I’m about to list. Seriously, I know we all want our jeans to fit our butts perfectly, but the thing is when you got flab hanging over your fitted bum, it’s not that aesthetically pleasing. Seeing muffin tops makes me feel bad for those who have them. I just feel that is really is so easy to avoid them. There’s really no reason to have them.
2. Ill-fitting yoga pants/leggings - For most men out their yoga pants are god’s gift to the fashion world. Some boys love them booties. But(t) [I’m so lame] not everyone has a butt worth showing off. and If you are trying to show off ya bum Me thinks you should probably wear yoga panties or something that won’t give you a visible underwear line. That’s not the only thing here. Some girls wear leggings that are kinda see-through and quite frankly that’s really not ok either. Another way you can go wrong with wearing leggings is like how i mentioned before, no offense but there is a way to dress nicely if you’re big boned or heavy set, however, yoga pants and leggings aren’t often the way, at least not paired up with a tight shirt and leaving ya bum exposed. I think a nice flowy top would be a good alternative…
3. Too-Small Clothes- Whether it be a sweatshirt, t-shirt, pants, bra, underwear, etc, etc, it’s just really not ok. Seriously get clothes that fit you here’s why.
Sweatshirt- People wear sweatshirts when they’re lazy or don’t feel like putting in the effort, so why would you want to wear a sweatshirt that’s too small for you? There’s this one girl I know who always wears tops that are too small for her in the torso and she is always showing off her hip bones. (I’m by no means jealous of her body, I have hips too so I’m not some jealous girl spiting her by saying this haha). Honestly now, you really ought to wear tops that cover up your tummy from time to time. I am well aware that belly shirts are in-style, but she isn’t wearing those types of shirts not to mention that we’re in school when she dresses like this so wtf just get a shirt that fits you!
T-shirt- see above
Socks-they fall down if they don’t fit.
Pants- No one wants to see your muffin top. No one wants to see your thong. No one wants to see your undiewears. Just get some pants that fit you goshhh
Bras- I hear if bras are too small, they obviously don’t provide enough support and also if your wear a tight shirt the girls find other escape routes in your clothes that give you like muffin tops of the boobs hahaha. Just, yeah don’t do it. I can’t imagine it is very comfortable either.
Shorts. If they’re too short well then people start getting peeks at your butt cheeks and that’s just a little awkward…
I think I got most of the major fashion fitting faux pas here if you think of anything let me know! If you have any opinions, opposing, agreeing, what have you, feel free to let me know. I love discussing things like this with other people! :P :)
I think many people on tumblr posts pictures because they want to try to be inspirational without words. Sure pictures do say 1,000 words (or according to my physics teacher 1,731) but I think people are too lazy to think. Pictures you just reblog. It’s easy. Coming up with an original thought, that takes work. It takes time. It takes thinking. It takes planning.
I challenge you to take five minutes and think of how you would solve a problem. Really think it through. It can be silly. I can be serious, but if you really take it and look around it won’t be easy and it will get you thinking. People don’t think enough today. Everyone wants to take the easy way out. What happened to pursuing knowledge for the sake of a genuine desire to learn? As I approach the final weeks of high school I have finally found an insatiable thirst for knowledge, and it’s a shame that in order to learn this stuff that I know have to pay money for it.
I challenge you to take up a new hobby. Learn something that you’ve always wished to do. Me? I’ve been wanting to learn French and every now and then I want to learn how to play a certain song on the piano. So what have I done? It may seem meager, but I have downloaded those silly, “Learn French” Podcasts, I have searched on YouTube how to play these songs. It’s rewarding! As they said in School House Rock, “Knowledge is Power!”
